Work will be accepted from anywhere in the UK where payment terms are agreed. Before any work can commence, a contract will be issued detailing the requirements of the project, the expected completion date (where applicable) and an acknowledgement of the terms and conditions.
Initial consultation with new clients, or existing clients with respect to a new project, is complimentary. Additional time spent liaising with the client in respect to work being undertaken will be charged in accordance with current rates.
If the client wishes to change the project requirements, for any reason, Momentum Business Services reserves the right to re-negotiate the original terms and conditions.
For new clients, Momentum Business Services reserves the right to request the full amount before the project commences.
Rates and charges
The hourly rate will be billed in increments of 15 minutes, rounded to the nearest quarter of an hour. There is a minimum charge of 1 hour for any work carried out.
All sundries including stationery, printing, telephone, fax, postage etc and other expenses will be charged separately at cost price. Mileage will be charged at 45p per mile.
All time spent working on your project, including time spent communicating by telephone, email, fax etc will be chargeable at the applicable hourly rate. For telephone and internet research, all telephone costs will be charged at the cost price, as necessary.
All charges will be reviewed annually and clients will be notified of any new charges in writing. Any and all costs incurred for chasing or recovering the outstanding payment will be added to the account.
Invoices are due for payment within 10 days of receipt. Momentum Business Services reserves the right to charge an interest at a rate of 3% per month as long as the overdue amount remains unpaid.
If required, a time sheet will be provided with every invoice. The minimum invoice amount is 1 hour at the applicable hourly rate.
If, for any reason, work must be suspended or delayed through any fault of the client, Momentum Business Services is entitled to immediate payment for work carried out and any expenses incurred.
In the event of circumstances beyond our control, Momentum Business Services will be entitled to suspend services without notice or penalty, however, all attempts will be made to minimise disruption to the client where at all possible.
Payment is to be made by bank transfer or cheque as discussed at time of booking. All payments must be made within the payment terms.
Loss or damage of client property
Momentum Business Services cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, theft etc. of any data, materials, projects, equipment or any items relating to the assignment during delivery from or to the office premises.
For insurance and safety reasons, personal visits to Momentum Business Services premises are not permitted.
Proof reading and errors
Final proof reading is the responsibility of the client. Any errors returned within 7 days will all be corrected free of charge.
Confidentiality and security
Momentum Business Services believes that security and confidentiality are of paramount importance and is happy to sign confidentiality agreements.
All incoming emails and attachments, files and disks are scanned for viruses. Any suspect documents or emails, from an unrecognised sender, with no subject heading or containing no message will remain unopened and will be deleted.
Momentum Business Services scans all outgoing emails and attachments for viruses but does not accept any responsibility for viruses transmitted. Our computer system is virus and password protected.
We encourage all clients to use a secure method to transport any hard copy documents to Momentum Business Services for example, courier and recorded delivery methods.
Momentum Business Services endeavours to avoid any system failure and cannot be held responsible for any loss whatsoever due to computer, broadband, power or telephone failure.
Momentum Business Services is not responsible for the content of the work supplied to us.
We reserve the right to refuse anything considered to be illegal or immoral.
Momentum Business Services accepts no responsibility for the end use of documents produced by them, this remains solely the responsibility of the client.
We do not share information with other companies.
Backing up files
Momentum Business Services will retain back up files of clients work for a period of 1 year, after which all files will be deleted (unless the client specifically requests otherwise). We encourage all clients to retain their own back up of work completed.
Copies of all files can be provided prior to being deleted by Momentum Business Services.
